Most of us take good sealed road for granted. Anyone who has driven on gravel or red dirt roads knows well the disadvantages. Heavy trucks create corrugations and holes which rattle off loose vehicle parts and dust clouds impair vision and also enters into everything. Transport is tedious and slow which effects local outback communities, food and fuel prices as well as tourism and employment opportunities plus industry ( cattle, pastoral and mining),

Hopefully by 2025  the sealing of 2800 kms from western Australia to the central west of Queensland will be completed. For more information click onto:
